We study how neural circuits in the mammalian brain process information and perform the complex computations that underlie perception and cognition. We focus on perceptual systems, as perception is a fundamental building block of intelligent behavior. Our group works on fundamental questions and how neuropsychiatric diseases affect computations in the brain.
